Not the Royal Wedding ....

This evening we're taking off to the hills for the weekend and so will be avoiding the madness of it all ...

I'm sure it will all be lovely ... my class are very excited about it ... with lots of interesting questions as usual

Is the queen dead bossy!( We're in Liverpool here remember!)

Is she dead mean with all her money?
"If I was the queen I'd share all the money out" said Megan

How many houses does she have?

Does the queen drive herself around? Or does she go in a limo?

Why do we have a queen anyway if she's not in charge of the country? Hard to answer that one!

Will Prince Philip die before the Queen because he's going to be ninety?

How do you get to be a King or Queen?

Megan (again) really wants to be a princess, and has her own wedding already planned already.
( She's 7) Her bridemaids will be pink ... and her dress might have lights on it. And she'll have a dead big cake! Big Fat Gypsy Weddings was a very popular show here!
William fancies being Prince William for a day so he can have servants ... no-one else thought that was a good idea!!!

In school today there will be a Royal Wedding Party and the children are coming dressed up in red, white and blue ... or as princes and princesses. I'm going to miss out because I've got hospital appointments and I won't get back in time to join in the fun.

I hope everyone enjoys the special day .... whatever you choose to do!

We'll be hopefully walking somewhere round Borrowdale in the Lake District.

  1. We have had 2 days of wedding activities too! A four tier wedding cake has been made and decorated and the choldren are cating out the ceremony with a party afterwards this afternoon. Our William got cold feet and had to be replaced this morning - hope that isn't an omen!

  4. I'm getting quite tired of hearing about it. I mean, I wish them nothing but good luck and true love, but here in the States, they seem to be making a bigger deal of the Royal Wedding than they probably are in the UK

  5. Have a nice break, and even if you aren't celebrating it, at least you can be thankful that it has given you another bank holiday this year! I suppose :)

  12. I got up at five this morning to watch the Royal Wedding. What a beautiful ceremony, carriages just about everything was amazing. The only negative thing from the entire coverage of this special day were the hats worn by Prince Andrew's daughters. Yikes!!

  13. It sparked a lot of questions here too ! Joe would love to marry into the Royal family !
Jess & hubby say that the Royals don't work hard. I disagree & it led to an argument during the ten o'clock news which was the only time hubby saw any of the wedding. He would severely scale down the Royal family like in Spain.

I watched the wedding & loved it along with the other few million !
Hope you had a wongerful break, are feeling well and your test results good x

  14. Sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned. We made bits and pieces at school and I did watch the wedding service. We've made the most of the holiday to come up to Manchester, to see our children and little granddaughter. Thanks William and Kate. Ros
