Daddy's Girl

I thought it might be nice to visit the seaside, so the lovely Mr. B. said he knew 'just the place' and we headed to Brean Downs, near Burnham-on-Sea. It was, indeed, a lovely beach, and on a sunnier day it would have been ever better .... but it turned out that we hadn't come to look at the beach ....
.... because Brean Downs is a climbing area! Regular readers may recall that the lovely Mr. B. is rather fond of climbing, and we spend a lot of time 'looking at rock'. So that's what we did. Well, he looked at the rock, and I looked for interesting pebbles.

We chanced upon a dead sheep, the poor creature had clearly fallen from the cliff ( I won't show you, I promise!), so I decided to take Inca away and head back to the sand, while Mr. B. lingered for a while at the cliff face ...
Inca didn't want to leave her 'Dad' and spent the next five minutes watching his every move from a distance. She couldn't be persuaded to come with me.
The tail started wagging as soon as she knew he was coming back to her ...
Is that a doggy grin?

  7. Aren't pets amazing? I think our Duke is a Daddy's boy most of the time, but hubby says he's a mommy's boy! Hubby takes him to class on Tuesday/Thursday when he's teaching American Government! We think he'll be getting a degree soon! LOL!!

  8. Inca didn't want to leave dad behind, and must have been relieved when he returned - very loyal and lovely dog. Unfortunate about the sheep ~ they seem sure-footed, but I guess accidents are bound to happen occasionally. Sunshine would have been nice, but the fresh sea air would be like a tonic, I think :)

  10. Your story about Inca wanting her Dad is just one of the reasons I love dogs so much. They love their families. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous photos.

  15. I think pets are amazing. There is a Lab on You Tube named Denver. If you have a minute go on and look for Denver who got in trouble from his owner. You will not be disappointed. I belly laughed so hard. Gorgeous scenery.
