Scavenger Hunt ~ March 2012

Well, where did March go? My feet haven't touched these last few weeks. It's been mad busy in work and and not much better at home to be honest, but thankfully it's finally the Easter Hols!
Two whole blissful weeks! Yippee!!!

I made a good start on my photos this month and then ground to a dismal halt. I took my last one today, and really had run out of ideas for some of the titles.
Buttons ~ on a stall in Camden Passage
Words ~ I love this!!!
Street Name ~ take your pick!
Half a face ~ in Camden Market

Fashion ~ in Camden Market
City ~ London
Landmark ~ the Liver Building in Liverpool
Fancy ~ wrought ironwork under Chester's clock
Square ~ Trafalgar Square
Morning~ a quiet moment in my classroom before the children arrive
Kitchen ~ My favourite part of our kitchen
Theatre ~ failed on this one as I just didn't get near a theatre this month, so I ended up using a flyer that popped through our letter box.

I've just put the linky on the page at the top of this post, and I'll leave it open for a week!

Here's next month's list:

rock
in/out
amazing
can't live without
on the move
smile
spring
multi-coloured

tangle
indulgence
direction

Happy Hunting!!!

Calling all Scavengers

Welcome to the first Scavenger hunt of 2012.

The rules are as simple as always.

Take one photograph for each word on the list during the month.
They are completely open to your own interpretation.
That's the joy of the game .... everyone has so many different ideas!

If you are absolutely desperate you can 'scavenge' from older photographs, I suppose, but it must be something you have taken!!!

And just publish them on your blog by the end of the month! Voila!

You can also add your posts to the Linky  on the page on the top of my post each month>

in my bathroom

information

It will great to welcome old friends back ..... but anyone is most welcome to join in.

You don't have to ask.... just jump in!!!!

Happy Hunting!

Scavenger Hunt December Special

Welcome to the last Scavenger Hunt of 2011.
Before I go any further, I would just like to thank every single person who has taken part in my little game this year.

What started off as a diversion to keep me amused, has grown into something truly amazing!!!

I can't believe how so many of you have taken it to your hearts and have published your collections faithfully at the end of every month ..... without you I would have fizzled out in February!

I have loved looking at everyone's interpretations of the same titles ... with so many similarities and differences from all over the country, and from all over the world!!!
I promise I have looked at every collection I have seen published,
even if I haven't always had the time to comment.
I have met so many new friends ... so many like minded people.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

I thought we might end the year with a challenge .....
How do you fancy a Christmas Alphabet ?
26 photographs .... or is that too many?
Here's one to start you off!

I just thought that most of us will be snap-happy over the next few weeks anyway
It shouldn't be too much trouble ~ should it?

Meanwhile, do you want to carry on with the Scavenger Hunt in 2012?
Or should we let it rest for a while ...... I'm open to your suggestions!

Catching up!

I've been mad busy these last few days catching up with everything after our long weekend away ... you know how it goes ... there was no food in the house ... but there was mountains of washing and ironing to do! Where does it all come from?

But I've also been trying to catch up with nice things too, like everything that's been going on in blogland .... so many posts to read!
Everyone seems to have loved this ... and I've caught up with all the best bits on Youtube!

And I've been trying to catch up with everybody's April Scavenger Hunt collections.

As always there are some very inventive 'snappers' out there ... especially for the Shakespeare and St. George titles ... just wonderful! If you haven't seen them yet check out the linky at the top of my page!

I haven't had a chance to comment much this month but I have done my very best to read everyone's posts ... and I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with for May!

Another day off for me tomorrow ... our school is used as a polling station! I don't know how we're going to cope with five days next week!

January Scavenger Hunt

I can't believe the level of interest that has been shown in this little venture.
I just started it up to give me a bit of focus for taking photographs during the winter, and I thought one or two other bloggers might like to join in. Nearly one month after that first post people are still asking if they can do it too.

The answer is YES of course you can!!!!

If you click on the link on my side bar it should take you to a Flickr group where you can post your photos for January. I've just put mine on, only eleven at the moment 'cos I'm stuck on one!
There's also a page at the top of my blog which has a 'linky' ... where you can add your photos for one week starting from January 30th. You should be able to put this 'linky' on your own blog so you'll have everyone's photos too.

If you don't want to do either of these, just do a post and show your photos there .... plenty of people will see them whichever way you choose!

Now, this is the first time I've ever attempted to do something like this, and it all sounds a bit technical to me, so I've got my fingers crossed
(and everything else crossed too!)

If it all works, I'll post the list for February very soon!
