My lovely girl is flying off on her own today ... to Bangladesh!
It's a work related trip which she writes about on her blog here: Bangladesh
I put her on the train to London yesterday,
and, yes, I was a bit tearful,
even though she'll be back next weekend!
She just looked incredibly small, weighed down with a huge pile of luggage.
She is attending a 'cross-party' conference and is going to give a presentation about
young people and the future of politics!
She's slightly nervous about this, of course,
but her main concerns have all been wardrobe related!!!!
What does a girl wear in a monsoon?
Are ankles and wrists allowed to be on show?
Contact lenses are not recommended
...oh dear....
so much to consider!
It's all very exciting.

Yes, a really great experience! Our youngest daughter has been working for the UN for two years since leaving uni, on the 'Human Rights-based Approach to Water'. She lived in Bratislava for the first year and has travelled to many unusual countries, meeting with NGOs and country government officials. I worry, but when she returns home, I see so many ways in which she has developed and matured. They are so lucky to have such opportunities. She'll have so many storied to tell on her return! Ros
