My favourite non-fiction book

Radiotherapy ~ Day 14 (13:05) (Clinic : 13:35)

My favourite non-fiction book has to be
my battered old copy of the
Eyewitness Travel Guide
to my favourite city.
Whenever I get it out it means we're planning a trip here:
We've done all the usual sights in Paris,
so now when we go
we take great delight in seeking out
 places off the beaten track
the weird and the wonderful
quiet quirky corners
the 'just darn beautiful'
medieval magnificence
fascinating shops
and very special places

My trusty DK Eyewitness Guide Book
never lets us down!

Photographs: Palais de Chaillot, Place Igor Stravinsky, sculptured head at St-Eustache,
domed cupola in the restaurant at Au Printemps, the Conciergerie,
Shakespeare and Co. English book shop, The Rodin Museum.

  5. I and my big girls decided that we need to go to Paris one of these days. I went on my honeymoon - yes, in prehistory - and I need to go back. I must tell my husband.

  7. So true, Paris is a wonderful city. We took our nieces for a weekend when they were small, they launched themselves into it completely. We've only recently been to other parts of France and loved them too, can't believe we've got to our age before discovering such a great country.
