Radiotherapy ~ Day 15 (9:05)
I'm not usually sentimental over songs,
but I did cry unexpectedly a few years ago
when this haunting little tune came on the radio.
I was driving home from Manchester airport
at about 4.00 a.m. in the pitch dark.
I'd just dropped the lovely Mr. B.
off for one of his climbing trips.
The song just touched a nerve
... I suppose ....
all those "I miss you's"...
and my tears fell!
Now, I found that very odd,
because the song used to bore me rigid
when it would come on Top of the Pops in the Seventies.
Isn't it funny how you change over time?
I am not sure you listen to the words when you are younger or maybe it's you have not had the experienced to appreciate it?

Kathy,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment on my blog, it is fun to meet new people this way!
You are right, the hardest part is actually stringing a sentence together. But I just hope that by listening to French books etc a lot and building my vocab, that will start to happen more naturally! I always live in hope!
Really like your blog a lot and will return to it.
Gather that your health is not very good at the moment, really hope that you will not suffer too much from the radio therapy.
Love,
Caroline xx
Music plays havoc with your emotions when you are a bit low. Put something happy on and boogie. xxx
