May Scavenger Hunt

I finally finished off my list last night ... was I the only one who found some of these hard to track down? There were a few I was really stuck on, and I had to resort to what I could find in the house in the end. Note to self ... I must think up an easier list for June!

A cartoon character

Rupert the Bear, found at the Stitchcraft Show in Aintree.

A streetlight

In Chester, down by the river.... it just needs a lion and a witch and a wardrobe!

An interesting local building
Fort Perch at New Brighton, built in Napoleonic times to protect the Port of Liverpool from invasion. We were never invaded!!!

A butterfly
A favourite necklace

A bicycle
This is the bike I wish I had. It's on a poster we bought in France long ago, and hangs in the hall.

Think Vintage!
A well loved bear on a stall at Tynemouth's Vintage Market

Something Blue

Texture

A Red Door

A sign of the Zodiac

Pisces ... I'm really scraping the barrel here! Two glass fish from my bathroom window ledge.

A portrait in black and white

My grandmother (from a scrapbook page)

An emergency vehicle

The RNLI lifeboat on the River Mersey

I love looking at everyone else's wonderful photographs at the end of every month ... and I can't believe I've met so many new friends through this little venture. Thank you all so much for joining in!

Can you believe we've been doing this for almost six months! Amazing!!!

Here's the list for June:

something with your town's name on it
an elephant
a wheel trim
architectural detail
cheese
night
tree branches
cutlery
a childhood memory
a farm animal
something beginning with z...
the view right outside your door

For my sake alone, I hope it's easier than the last one!
Happy Hunting!

I'm not sure I did particularly well with mine, but I'll be jotting down that list straight away so that I can make a good start on it for June!

Thank you again for all the fun- its so nice to browse everyone's contributions. xxx

  7. Kathy,
I am so thankful for the Photo Scavenger Hunt. It may sound silly to some, but it has been a tremendous blessing to me.
My husband is in end-stage liver disease, and as you well know, doctor appointments/treatments have a way of taking over life. On days he feels well, I take him on outings and we look for the photo items together. I have very fond memories of these times together. Looking back at the photos brings sunshine to dark and dreary days. THANK YOU!

  13. Oh, I love your Rupert Bear and vintage bear photos and the french bicycle, also the B&W photo of your grandmother. Like you I found some of them hard to find and had to look around home. Thank you for the new list - I must start a little earlier this month as I rushed around at the last minute with May's list:)

June's list is interesting - now wondering where I can find an elephant (and maybe a zebra).

  23. That picture of a bike does not look like you took it from a poster - it looks real! Love the picture of the light fixture. As always, so much fun! Thanks for hosting!

  24. May's hunt was enjoyable, but also hard. I never found a decent red door, except in a model village and colourful butterflies were just as hard to find. But that is what makes it all fun, as well as seeing yours and the others pictures.

  25. Yes I found it hard to, but some of the photo I did already have, I surpose you might call that cheating! you have a lovely set of photos, and I so enjoy finding the items that I did need!!

  27. Hi Kathy - what a brilliant idea! I like your photos - I wish I could've found a pretty streetlight like yours! This was my first attempt at the photo hunt after seeing it on one or two other blogs, and I really enjoyed it! There were three that I didn't manage to get, but I enjoyed finding the others and I think it made me use my imagination a bit more! Am already thinking about the June ones now!
