Peeling Paint on a bench on Orrest Head, above Windermere in the Lake District.
A shadow caught on our living room wall as the sun was setting.
The little statue comes from the South of France.
Something as old as me ...it's the only thing I've got.
A ring ~ sadly, my engagement ring no longer fits
A rainbow ... well, not a real rainbow but a feast of rainbow colours in my classroom.
Cheating I know, but I haven't seen any real live lambs bouncing around yet!
A lion .... I chanced across this fellow in our local garden centre. We don't get many real live lions roaming the 'paradise peninsula'.
These fancy gates are just around the corner from our house. We've always wondered what sort of person would choose to have gates like this on their driveway.
My small collection of china cupcakes .... less calories than the real thing!
Something sentimental .... this is the very first thing my husband gave me when we were first seeing each other in 1975. I think it was a tag off his new woollen cardigan. I kept it in my purse for years until the legs snapped off. Now it's in my jewellery box.
An empty chair ... this little chair was bought when my daughter was about three and she used to play the story of Goldilocks with it. Of course this was the 'just right' chair. We keep it under the eaves in our loft bedroom. This could have been my 'something sentimental' too, I suppose.
Something green .... ivy growing across the window in our coat cupboard. I love the greenness every time I need to go in there!
Don't forget to have a peep over on the Flickr link on my side bar. Lots of bloggers are putting their Scavenger Hunt photos on there now.
April's list coming very soon!

Hi , love your photos . I may be a bit simple but I can't see a flickr link in your sidebar for the scavenger hunt.

you've found some great things! I have a few left to do........
ReplyDeleteWell done! I've found this list a bit of a challenge too, partly due to some tricky items and partly due to having my GTP interview thrown in this month at short notice! I'm ready for a fresh new list now, and extra time to complete it in the Easter hols!
ReplyDeleteI had trouble with lambs too as lambing season really begins in April around here! I'm almost there with the march list though, one item to do and I'll be posting on Wednesday or Thursday!
Hi Kathy, love the photos, especially the one of the shadow and the peeling paint - that's a great angle, like one of those puzzles where you have to look hard to identify what you are looking at! x
ReplyDeleteVery pretty pics. We found you through 'George the Lad'. We might play along in April. It looks like fun :)

Lovely choices ~ such fun seeing what you chose. The shadow one is really effective, love the colouring and looks like it would make an excellent print. I could comment on each photo as I really think they're all super, especially when many of them have sentimental value. I have to get mine together and I'll put them up soon.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, I didnt get organised enough! Great phots Kathy. xxxx
ReplyDeleteGreat photos :)
ReplyDeleteI've just blogged about mine & added them to Flickr.
Looking forward to a new list at the end of the week.
I'd say you did very well! Your photos and stories are feasts for the eyes and soul :D
ReplyDeleteWaggin at ya,

Great photos, Kathy - I ended up taking a few around home too. It has been a great challenge to find everything or to improvise in some cases. I've put my photos on the Flickr group and will put them on my blog. Looking forward to April's list:)
ReplyDeleteI have done quite a few and plan to take a few others today, but don't know whether I will get tham all. I great idea, I too will continue the hunt in April. Will put mine up ASAP. Ann x
ReplyDeleteMan I have sucked so hard at this month's scavenger hunt. Kind of an epic fail. Can I still upload the photos I have taken though?!

Thank you so much for pulling this together. What a fun way to slow down and take in what's around us.
Brilliant ! I love the green room too and the little charm from the cardi is sweet.
ReplyDeleteHaving real problems with Blogger / photos...they all vanished & when recovered were distorted. A few more to take so I'll post in a few days but they are a sorry set this month.
Loved seeing your photos for March. The statue from the South of France is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the list. I've done it!!! Not sure how to put them onto flikr. Am waiting with baited breath for April's list. Ax
ReplyDeleteI love that last picture - so green and fresh! You do take very good photos - I'll have to get myself a better camera.

I forgot to mention your wonderful classroom rainbow display! I bet the children love being surrounded by such a colourful setting, and have an opportunity to learn so much using this theme.
ReplyDeleteYour cupcakes on their own special serving plate are very special. I've never seen anything like that before :) Oh, and your lamb is very cute, and your lion majestic...love the ivy, and the chair...Just really a terrific selection!
Great photos! I especially like the china cupcakes and the lamb, the classroom wall is also lovely and colorful!
ReplyDeleteI like your shadow and they are very fancy gates!
ReplyDeleteWow, those gates are quite something! I really love your shadow photo - so arty.
ReplyDeleteI've still got a couple of house-based pics to take for this but shall hopefully have my blog post written and posted tomorrow.
Great photos! I especially love the peeling paint and the colourful classroom.
ReplyDeleteI've just blogged about my photos.
Love your photos.
ReplyDeleteGet that engagement ring resized and wear it. It looks lovely.
Cheers

Great photos - love the birth certificate!
ReplyDeleteJust blogged about mine and are now on flickr. Thanks again for doing this - it's great fun! Looking forward to April already!
I must say I was a bit shocked to see a lion feature on your list for this month! My OH spotted some really pretty lambs whilst cycling to work, and then took me on a surprise excursion to visit them 'specially for the hunt! I like how you've kept that something sentimental from your husband. Can't wait to see the list for April! x
ReplyDeleteHello - I found you through a blog, through a blog, through a comment... but am looking forward to April's hunt!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful photos. I love the ivy with the sun coming through on the windows. Also the lion is so regal. Oh, your classroom bulletin board is so artfully assembled.
ReplyDeleteHello! I've seen this challenge on The Girl's and Alex's blogs and think it's the perfect opportunity to keep using my new fancy camera after my photogaphy course finishes on Monday, I look forward to seeing the April list! :)
ReplyDeleteHello there! Lovely photos as always. I love your 'colour' display board! Have a lovely weekend. Ros
ReplyDeleteI've just put my March photos up on my blog - I had to take some around the home and be inventive with others too. Still enjoyed doing it and look forward to the April list. I've done the link thing too - well at least it says I have but I couldn't see my link on the list so I hope it worked.
ReplyDeleteJust in case it hasn't then I am here:

I've just posted up my photos over on my blog and checked out the ones from the new link list you've added to your blog.
ReplyDeleteLove everyone's photos, great how we all get something a little different.
I've done the link thing too and it says it's done but I haven't shown up on the list yet so I'm thinking it takes a while for it to appear but if it doesn't appear then I am here:
http://jordie-girl-flownthenest.blogspot.com/
Look forward to the April list.
Must admit sometimes I worry about people thinking I'm a bit odd photographing strange things out around town and am careful not to get people in shot in case they don't want their photos taken!!!
Love your selections...mine took me forever this month, and I just now at 10:29 PM on March 31 got them posted...but one short! argh!!!! Anyway, thanks for this fun; I linked your blog on my post.
