Mother's Day Fayre

Yesterday in school we held our Mother's Day Fayre .... where the children could choose to buy something special for their mums. It was an opportunity for them to 'go shopping' safely all on their own, without any grown-ups influencing their choice.

Lots of the items had been donated ....

Flowers were very popular ...

There were some scrumptious cakes made by our very talented P.A. ....

My Snappy Cards after school club had been busy making cards .....

and we made gift bags containing a chocolate heart ....

There is something very heartwarming to see little children clutching their purchases and telling you how much their mum will love what they've just bought ....

although we suspect some of the cakes and chocolates never made it home to mum!

I hope everyone has a lovely Mother's Day wherever you are .....

... and whoever you are with....

...my lovely girl is coming home for the weekend, and we plan to visit my Mum too.

  6. What a great idea selling things in school. My daughter shared her Mothers Day with me and her motherin law.We all went out to lunch and I had lots of cuddles from my daughter and my two granddaughters. My son lives 200 miles away but I had a present through the post from him plus flowers delivered from Next and of course cards from both of them. The words that my daughter had written were lovely.

Hope you enjoy Shadow of the Wind.I thought it was brilliant and if you havn't already been to Barcelona you will want to go.
