Eric had never really recovered after a major heart attack eighteen months ago, but recently he had been doing so well and even had managed to travel out to his beloved France this summer.
He and his wife had been lovingly restoring a little stone village house for the past ten years and we would meet up with them every year to see what they had been up to.
He was one of the nicest, gentlest, kindest men you could ever wish to meet.
He will be greatly missed by all his friends
