I'm feeling well, my skin has healed beautifully, but, oh my goodness, where oh where is my bounce?
While I was never really a Tigger sort of person, I did have a spring in my step! I used to rush about getting things done and, yes, I did get irritated with slow coaches around me. I was a busy person!
Now, I'm more like Eeyore ... I'm not miserable ... but I'm oh so slow!
I went to Chester yesterday for a little wander round, and my legs felt like lead. I haven't got a 'rush' in me at the moment!
All my medical team say this is perfectly normal after radiotherapy, but it's been five weeks now, and I thought I'd feel a bit more normal by now! I'm looking forward to my holiday in the sun next week. Maybe I'll find some bounce on a beach!

Hi nice to meet you. I know EXACTLY where your bounce is - my dog Dillon swallowed it. He does his " tigger " impersonation in the corn fields !
ReplyDeleteHope you start to regain your strength
I hope that you do find a bit of bounce and get a spring back in your step. xxxxx
ReplyDeleteThe sun is sure to make you feel rejuvanted! Have a lovely time! x
ReplyDeleteOh, I so hope you do find your bounce, and have a wonderful holiday too. I do understand what you mean about the bounce thing though, I lost mine for a long time and now it's back, and boy, what a difference! x
ReplyDeleteBe patient and believe that you WILL have your bounce back eventually! It's not the best time of year for bounce either with cooler and less sunny weather. So hopefully you will find some extra get-up-and-go on that beach - hope you have a lovely time away and feel stronger every day. xx
ReplyDeleteI think its a slow process. One morning you will wake up and be your old self again. But in the meantime have some fun in the sun.
ReplyDeleteHang on in there. Your treatment and the approach of winter can't be helping but I'm sure the sun will fix you both mentally and physically.
ReplyDeleteYou'd better ask Kanga -maybe she could give you some cod liver oil.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure a break in the sun will do you the world of good.I'm like you in that I want to run before I can walk. These things just take time.Little steps.
ReplyDeletetake it is on yourself, your bounce will come back when you are ready. a trip to the sun sounds lovely
ReplyDeleteHello there! Thank goodness it's Friday. I'm sure bounce comes back slowly. It's a mechanism for not doing too much too soon. Hope you have a lovely holiday. Ros
ReplyDeleteNothing like a bit of sunshine to help you get your bounce back Hun. Have a lovely time. xxx
ReplyDeleteOh yes a holiday in the sun will be the perfect recipe for bounce refuelling!
