Project 365 ~ Week 21

I've had a lovely week just chilling ... the weather has been really nice and it's half term .. so I'm very happy!

Back home, Inca is missing her dad. He's gone away for a few days on a climbing trip. I miss him too.

The climbing rose on the archway is looking good today..

My son's retro T-shirt hanging on the washing line ... so colourful!

Lovely goodies from Rhiannon from 'Pretty Petal Handmade' in the Button Swap. I loved it all ... thank you so much!

A new toy to play with! After much deliberation and soul searching I've finally bought a Kindle. It will reduce the weight of our caravan by half, as I won't need to pack heavy books any more. I still prefer a real book in my hand, but it's not as strange as I thought it would be.

The monstrous Leylandii lurking at the bottom of the garden is dealt with at last..... at great cost .... can't believe we were ever so stupid to plant it back in the day!

Right I need to pack my clothes into the caravan, as we're off to spend a week at Chatsworth! We visited last year and had a wonderful time so I hope it will be just as good this week. Fingers crossed for good weather!

Lovely post again, love your rose. My Princess Diana one is heavy with blooms this year already.

Have a great time at Chatsworth. How come you get 2 weeks off for half term? We only get one!

  10. Great photos! Love the one of the Tyne from The Baltic - it is somewhere I would love to visit - we passed through very briefly on our way to the National Garden Festival at Gateshead many years ago. I'm interested in what you think about the Kindle - I too love books and the feel of books in my hand but I can see that the Kindle would also be quite useful. Have a great stay at Chatsworth:)

  15. THat bridge over the river is beautiful but looks terrifying, not sure I could walk over that! I'm wondering about getting a Kindle for using when I travel, they seem very popular. Enjoy Chatsworth, you'll be very close to me while you're there, I live about 20 minutes drive away.
