Cupcake Heaven ...

For a while now I've been watching the cupcake phenomenon from a distance, but I've finally been sucked in ...

I have the books ...

and I've poured over the recipes ...
I have pretty cupcake cases ...

I've even got the cupcake stand!
All I need now is the time to do something about it!

So..... yesterday I baked and baked and iced and decorated ... and now my cupcake stand is filled ....

I must say ... it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be
and I'm absolutely delighted with the results, even if I do say so myself!

I'm already planning the next batch!

  3. WOW! They look scrummy! I have also been watching from afar, but when the Primrose Bakery book appeared in our staffroom for less than half price and the silicone cases likewise (courtesy of 'The Book People') I succumbed. Now all I have to do is use them. You may have just inspired me! Have a great holiday. Ros

  5. These look so fantastic. I'm far too lazy to make cupcakes usually - I tend to go for a big loaf cake and an all-in-one mixture to save time, but I think strange things are happening to me recently - I have a hankering for pretty china, cake stands and pretty cakes to go with them - and it's not like me at all to be drawn to flowery and pink things! But I think I may have to give in to it all! My colleague has just got the Hummingbird Bakery book and has so enjoyed using it.
Have a great week in the Lakes - hope the weather is good for you xx
