Life has been quite difficult recently, with one of our family being very poorly. We've had weeks of appointments and hospital visiting. I've been on auto-pilot just getting through the days. Things are slightly improving now, but there's still a whole bag of worries going on.
So it's October already, and I don't know when Summer slipped away and turned into Autumn, but here it is. I'm surprised when it goes dark so soon, and that it's suddenly too cold to go without socks. I will have to dig out a warmer coat, and search for those gloves and scarves that seem to have vanished since last year.
We have managed a few little outings over the last month or so ....
The Chagall Exhibition at Liverpool's Tate gallery was worth seeing.
And we popped into Liverpool's newly re-furbished Central Library, which looks all traditional on the outside....
and rather modern inside! It's quite stunning.
I took our two mums to see West Side Story at the Empire Theatre. It was truly wonderful, and a much needed distraction! I sang songs from the show all the way home in the car! It's on tour throughout the country now. I can thoroughly recommend it!
And we took the boy back to uni in Aberdeen .... which involved an overnight stay. One day, we promise ourselves, we'll be able to stay longer and actually see something of the place.
We can't wait for half term at the end of next week. We're hoping to take a little trip away with the caravan if all goes well, although we haven't actually booked anything yet, just in case. I might even dig out my camera again. (Most of the images in this post are 'borrowed' from Mr. Google!)
